Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Pella of DFW is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, and other assistive technologies. Replacing windows and doors is a significant decision, and every homeowner deserves the same access to the information that decision requires.
Scope
This statement applies to the website at pellaofdfw.com, including all pages and content we publish and control. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, including Pella Corporation properties, which maintain their own accessibility policies.
Standard we follow
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our standard. WCAG is the international standard for web accessibility, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. It defines three levels of conformance — A, AA, and AAA — and Level AA is the level most organizations and accessibility regulations reference.
Because WCAG 2.2 builds on the earlier versions, content that meets 2.2 Level AA also meets WCAG 2.1 and 2.0 at Level AA.
Conformance status
pellaofdfw.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that most of the site meets the standard, but some parts of the content do not yet fully conform.
The site was designed and built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA throughout. The areas where we do not currently claim full conformance are described under Known limitations below.
What we do
To support accessibility on an ongoing basis, we:
- Wrote WCAG 2.2 Level AA into the requirements for this website before design work began, rather than treating accessibility as a post-launch fix
- Use semantic HTML, meaningful text alternatives for images, visible keyboard focus, and sufficient color contrast throughout the site
- Test with keyboard navigation and screen readers as part of our quality process
- Review new pages and content against our accessibility standard before publishing
- Respond to accessibility feedback from the public and repair reported barriers
How we assessed the site
WCAG 2.2 Level AA was specified as a requirement for this website from the outset, and the site was designed and built to that standard by Orbit Media, with accessibility checked throughout development rather than at the end.
A full accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 Level AA is scheduled after launch. We will update this statement with the audit date, the findings, and our remediation progress when that work is complete.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of pellaofdfw.com may present barriers.
Promotional overlays. From time to time we may run overlay elements such as pop-ups, exit-intent dialogs, or promotional banners, some of which are supplied by third-party marketing tools. These may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Where an overlay appears, you can close it using the close button or the Escape key, and no information or offer presented in an overlay is available only there — the same content is reachable elsewhere on the site or by contacting us directly. We evaluate these elements for accessibility before use and remove or replace any that create a barrier.
If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us. Reports from visitors are one of the most useful ways we find and fix problems.
Alternative ways to reach us
If any part of this website prevents you from getting the information you need, you can reach us directly and we will help. We can answer product questions, provide pricing and product details in an alternative format, and schedule an in-home consultation by phone.
