Please join us in congratulating Joshua Montgomery on his promotion to General Manager of Trade & Commercial Sales. From his early days in the building industry to his years leading sales teams at Pella, Joshua’s story reflects vision, dedication, and heart.

Joshua Montgomery’s journey in the building industry began over 20 years ago with a pencil, a blueprint, and a truss. As the youngest of six, he learned early the value of hard work and teamwork.

Joshua spent his early years in Texas before moving with his family to Mexico at age 13, where he lived until he was 18. During those years, his family opened a coffee shop, and Joshua worked alongside them for five years. It became his first classroom for business, teaching him customer service, discipline, and the satisfaction of building something meaningful from the ground up.

From his mom, Joshua learned faithfulness and consistency—always opening on time, never closing early, and delivering a quality product and experience. From his dad, he learned the art of working with people, even in difficult situations—showing how to be both kind and firm. Living in Mexico gave Joshua a deeper understanding of different cultures, and being bilingual continues to help him connect and invest in others in unique ways.

Long before that, Joshua’s summers were filled with mowing lawns with his brother and cleaning a mechanic shop—early jobs that instilled grit, dedication, and the power of teamwork.

Joshua began his professional career as a truss designer before moving into sales and operations management. His time as an Operations Manager at BFS gave him a strong understanding of business mechanics, but it was his return to sales that reignited his passion for people and performance.

When Joshua was recruited to Pella, he was searching for a company where he could grow. After interviewing with then–Sales Manager Jamie Ogle, he was so impressed by the culture that he knew he had found the right place. Over the next seven years as a Trade Account Manager, Joshua consistently earned his place in the Champions Circle. In January 2022, he was promoted to Trade Sales Manager. Since then, he has guided his team through the challenges of COVID and led impactful Kaizen events. His leadership has been marked by continuous improvement, strong relationships, and a deep understanding of both product and people.

Vice President of Sales, Jared Canter, noted: “I am proud of Josh and his journey thus far with our organization. He embodies every element of our ‘WE’ culture. I am excited to see how Josh leads our Trade & Commercial business into the future and am confident that it will be as legendary as his yellow suit has become.”

Now, as he steps into the role of General Manager of Trade & Commercial Sales, Joshua is ready to lead with vision, integrity, and heart. What drives him is a simple but powerful mission: to provide excellent experience for every customer. He believes success is a team effort and works collaboratively across departments to ensure every interaction reflects the quality and care that defines the Pella brand.

Outside of work, Joshua is a devoted husband to Melisa and proud father to Sophia, Jeremiah, Timothy, and Elliot. The Montgomerys live in Garland, TX, where they are actively involved in their church and community. Whether biking, swimming, or hosting friends, Joshua finds joy in the simple moments that bring people together.
